By installing or using Sthito you agree to these terms. They're written to be read, so please do read them.
1. The service
Sthito is a study app that helps you focus by blocking distracting apps, timing study sessions and tracking your progress. The core features are free, and our free-forever charter means we won't move a free feature behind a paywall.
2. Your account
- You can sign in with Google or continue as a guest. A guest account lives on one phone; if you sign out or uninstall before linking Google, its data can't be recovered.
- Keep your Google account secure. You're responsible for activity on your Sthito account.
- If you are under 18, use Sthito with a parent's or guardian's consent.
3. App blocking is a tool, not a guarantee
Sthito is designed to be hard to get around, but Android is controlled by you and your phone's maker. Some phones, system updates or settings may stop blocking from working as intended. Sthito always offers an emergency exit, and it isn't designed to stop you reaching emergency services, calls or essential apps you have allowed.
4. Fair play on leaderboards
Leaderboards are for real study. Don't try to inflate your time (for example with scripts, modified apps or fake sessions), don't impersonate anyone, and don't use an offensive display name. We may remove entries or suspend accounts that break these rules.
5. Your content
Your subjects, notes and pledge belong to you. You give us permission to store and process them only to run Sthito for you, as described in our privacy policy.
6. Acceptable use
Don't misuse Sthito: no reverse engineering to attack the service, no attempts to access other users' data, and no use that breaks the law.
7. Availability and changes
We work hard to keep Sthito running, but we can't promise it will always be available or error-free. Sthito works offline and syncs when you're back online. We may update features over time; if we make significant changes to these terms, we'll tell you in the app.
8. Liability
Sthito is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect losses, including exam results, missed calls or lost data. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under Indian consumer protection law.
9. Ending your use
You can stop using Sthito and delete your account at any time. We may suspend accounts that seriously or repeatedly break these terms.
